Indulge in a Scenic Saturday Brunch at SKAI

If you’re a fan of brunch (and who isn’t really?), then we’ve got just the place for you. SKAI is a sophisticated spot perched  on Level 70 of Swissôtel The Stamford, and very cool place to indulge in a decadent brunch. We’ve tried our fair share of brunches in Singapore, and after our recent visit to SKAI, we can confidently say that it has the whole package. Think spectacular views, great ambiance and phenomenal brunch bites.

Our Experience:

The first thing you notice when you step into SKAI are the incredible views. One whole side of the restaurant features floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the city skyline and Marina Bay and fill the space with natural light. Design elements like high ceilings, natural wood and grey and blue tones add to the airy ambiance. The counter seats next to the windows are primo, but you’ll get great views no matter where you sit.

The Saturday brunch is priced at $158++ per adult and includes free-flow Taittinger Brut Réserve, select cocktails, wines and beers. We loved the white wine by Robert Mondavi. Then you have buffet offerings like freshly baked breads, charcuterie, cheeses, and seafood on ice. A la carte hot and cold plates are also on offer. Highlights for us included the earthy wild mushroom soup, succulent steak with hand-cut chips, and the grilled snapper with green peas and coconut.

About:

SKAI opened at the end of 2018 as a contemporary grill at Swissôtel The Stamford. The kitchen is helmed by Welsh chef Paul Hallett, who has a passion for butchery. He sources only the best artisan meats and fresh seafood for the menus and cooks them to perfection in the Josper charcoal oven. The restaurant offers set lunches, set dinners, and a la carte dishes with subtle Japanese touches. And of course, we highly recommend the brunch, which takes place from 12pm to 3pm every Saturday.

UJ Tip:

You couldn’t ask for a more scenic spot to wine and dine your heart out on a Saturday afternoon. This is a great place to take friends who are in town visiting, as they’ll get bird’s eye views of the city and some seriously sumptuous food. Want to keep the good vibes flowing after you finish brunch? Head to the bar next door for chill beats and more bevvies.
