When COMO Dempsey opened a new lifestyle destination with four restaurants under one roof plus a retail fashion boutique and a gourmet marketplace in the lush environs of Dempsey Hill, we knew that we had to check it out, and the first place we hit up was Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar. Launched by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, this gorgeous new spot definitely deserves a spot on our list of the Best Restaurants in Singapore with Good Buzz.
Why you should come here:
The ambiance is beautiful with bright white chairs, marble-topped tables and bright bursts of green from the hanging and potted plants placed around the dining room. The menu is pretty easy-going with great gourmet pizzas, salads and pastas, and the prices are extremely reasonable, which is not always the norm with restos brought to us by Michelin-starred chefs.
What we love:
UJ Tidbit:
If the space is crowded when you arrive and you’ve only got two or three in your group, head to the bar where you can enjoy the same great dishes while watching all the action happen around the room. If you do have the foresight to make a reservation, you can opt for one of the tables in the spacious air-conditioned dining room, or one of the big wicker chairs outside on the patio.
Damage:
Lunch sets start at $40++ for a two-course meal, and dinner with a starter and a main will put you back about $60++ not including drinks.
